Dang! Highschool is Hard.

This picture describes my feeling towards high school right now.  Yet, I adore the freedoms that high school gives us.  No more dress code, no more feeling trapped.  It's less awkward, but at the same time awkwarder then ever.  There is much more drama then before, but the beautiful thing is that my high school is so huge that if you dislike a person you will probably not see them around if you even slightly try to avoid them.
High school is a huge emotion.  Like if I just said, "Oh High school" to a bunch of adults, vivid memories would come whirling back to them, either good or bad.  Socially you have a wide variety of people to hang out with.  Yet, you have to look cute everyday, have to get all A's and you suddenly going into this spinning death machine called HIGHSCHOOL that every American kids has to go through. It's academically challenging, (especially how I'm taking all the hardest classes) for once in my Jr high/high school time I've had to actually study and do homework.
Oh my word! do teachers just except us to know what the heck the homework was about and how to do it if you didn't teach it in class? It's just so frustrating.  Suddenly you realize that "oh my gosh, that test did matter, I'm never going to college, I'm never going to be accepted anywhere but a community college and I'll just fail at that too." College is all anyone can think of when they get their report cards.  The future is in my small 15 year old hands.  With what I do now can effect if I get married, get an education, get a job, have children, everything is on the shoulders of my 15 year old self.   Which reminds me I have three test tomorrow i guess I better start.

Maren.

Maren.

the day after her birthday I was lucky enough to gain one sister for two weeks.

Maren turned sixteen.

For her lovely sixteenth birthday we surprised her with all our friends with a lovely outdoor movie.

Then the next day, we did our birthday tradition.
Of kidnapping and going on an adventure for each friends birthday.

We bind folded her and snuck her into the car.
Drove up the canyon

maren is lovely. caring, kind, everything you could ever want as a friend

Football+tennis+leaves falling+ school dances= FALL

I never would have guessed that high school would be so so so busy.  I feel like I never have any free time.  Every weekend is either a football game, a dance, tennis or planning how to be one of those rad kids in school.

Three weeks ago was one of the best weekends ever.

Sept. - 24Sept. - 22

first the homecoming game.

Yeah we lost.  Yet it was so much fun because we finally got to meet all the boys who will take us to homecoming! It was a party all together for our first high school football game.

HOMECOMING DANCE

my my my. Like my instagram post said
last night was a dream

It was everything I could ever want in a day.
The best part was it was like having this huge party without a date dragging you everywhere.
We all just became friend, no awkward pair-offs. nothing.

The boys were SO SWEET.  They really did go full out to make us the happiest nine girls in the world that night.  We had a progressive dinner.  Which honestly those boys are so lucky because their mom are literally the cutest/best cooks, the food was AMAZING.  We then went to the dance for just one hour and seriously THE FUNNIEST LOOKING GROUP.  Everyone else wasn’t dancing and it really was no fun.  Then we showed up and we were making fools of ourselves,  in the best way possible.

Sept. - 19Sept. - 20

After we went to the dance (and totally won the best dance to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, sorry boys) we then went and changed into all black clothes and LASER TAGGING it was.  I had a blast and of course got 5th place out of all 18 of us.  YES.

after we went to another guys house and told scary stories around the fire.

Hubert’s lemonade is a great way to end the summer day.lemonade.jpg
You know what this lemonade and summer have in common?
MADE WITH: sunshine, passion & sweet lemons
This summer has gone by so quickly.  I’ve been gone all summer to camps, cousins, and even across the world.  Then finally yesterday I cleaned my closet, got dressed, I even took a bubble bath.
I then proceeded to get cafe rio, go to target, and get hubert’s lemonade. Then after tried out for the high school tennis team.
Now that I write it all down it sounds like a super busy day but seriously I think it was the most relaxing day this summer.
I think this blog will be like a journal of sorts.
Documenting the last weeks of summer and first year of high school.  Maybe even beyond that.
On Sunday at church we had a lesson about journaling.  I realized I was the only person in the class that really didn’t keep a journal. So why not give this a shot.
